SCOPE: Develop and implement company Transport Department strategies, processes and programs to ensure high quality transport services for customers and employees to enhance the Savan Legend brand.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Goals & Plans
Ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery by actively leading and managing the operation of the Transport Department, optimising efficiency and effectiveness.
Contribute to Savan Legends financial performance by managing the Transport Department operation to the approved budget
Minimise business risk by ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies and procedures with particular reference to the relevant laws of Lao PDR as they relate to transport services and driver licensing.
Develop and recommend standard operating procedures and policies to provide an optimum standard of transport services for our customers
Ensure the protection of Savan Legend against any claims or incidents, which occur in or affect the operation by liaising with Traffic Police, company authorised vehicle insurance provider, and other agencies as required.
Ensure the delivery of company brand, vision, culture, and values through the provision of effective leadership practices.
Protect the integrity and confidentiality of the Savan Legend business and operations by demonstrating the highest ethical standards, acting without prejudice at all times.
Customer Satisfaction
Maximise guest satisfaction by ensuring efficient management of all guest issues or disputes as they relate to the Transport function.
Maximise the positive experience for our guests by developing effective relationships with personnel across department lines.
Maximise customer satisfaction by ensuring a timely provision of transport services to all our customers..
Ensure any transportation initiatives are implemented on time, to budget and to requirements, working in conjunction with the appropriate staff.
Provide a safe environment and experience for customers and employees by ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and properly certified in accordance with Lao PDR Traffic legislation at all times and are presented in clean and tidy condition.
Staff Satisfaction
Ensure all security staff are provided with training required to enable them to deliver the outputs required of their position.
Ensure all transport drivers maintain an authorised Lao PDR driving licence or permit including the requisite class of vehicle relevant to their position.
Ensure that Company performance management processes are implemented with integrity and on time.
Contribute to the building of a high performance team by being an example of agreed behaviours.
Financial
Identify and implement initiatives aimed at effective cost controls while providing maximum value to the company and guests.
Responsible for working within approved budgets and capital expenditure projects.
Innovation & Growth
Create a performance management environment through the implementation of appropriate company practices and processes.
Reviews validity and appropriateness of all transport policies and procedures and recommends improvements.
Drive and facilitate continuous improvement in the Transport team i.e. people, processes and technology
Review validity and appropriateness of all reports for end users.
Learning and Development/Personal Development
Ensures an effective succession plan is in place by developing and training direct reports and staff.
Accountable for ensuring that all transport staff are appropriately trained trained in conjunction with the HR Department.
Displays exemplar characteristics of a learning individual.
Creates and delivers appropriate training for staff in conjunction with HR Department
TYPICAL WORK CONTACTS
Internal: Savan Legend Senior Management Group, Head of Departments, all Transport staff
External: Traffic Police, approved company vehicle insurance provider and other relevant Government agencies.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in most aspects, tactics and functions of a Hotel and Casino Transportation operation including but not limited to providing a great customer experience through exceptional delivery of customer service.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with relevant industry agencies & representatives (such as insurance providers), Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, Government Organisations and Suppliers of products and services.
Demonstrated experience in leadership by engaging and developing others.
